How others breeders got to their destination.

Brian Barczyk from BHB Reptiles is a reptile breeder who has been in the business since 1989. His first project was a Dumeril’s Ground Boa breeding project. He successfully bred them and started buying other various snake species and doing projects with them. He got his passion from family and family friends who also worked with reptiles. Most people know who he is because he has been a YouTube star since 2008, and as of 2021 he has over 3 million subscribers. The picture seen below is a photo his video crew took of him for a YouTube thumbnail. Seeing him work with his reptiles was an inspiration to me so I could someday get my business started and make videos out of them like he does. He worked with enough basic reptile breeds and morphs to get a clear understanding of how to make new new morphs. That’s why is constantly being the first breeder to produce certain hybrid snakes, and that’s what he shows in his YouTube videos. Which is the reason I kept up with his channel because I wanted to see new snake morphs being produced for the pet trade.

Jay Brewer from Prehistoric Pets is another famous breeder from YouTube who also has over 1 million subscribers. What made him popular is that he is one of the few people who focuses on Reticulated Python breeding projects. As shown below from a photo by one of his coworkers. He started out working with reptiles for a facility and got a good feel for them until he finally got familiar enough with them to do breeding projects. He has produced countless results that were the first of its kind when they were produced. He lives near Los Angeles, California where a lot of other famous YouTubers live. Big snakes often make for good TV showings, so he is frequently asked to bring them to shows or YouTubers houses. Feeling like Hollywood can come to you due to reptiles just yet?

You got to start somewhere!

These guys were both once in your position! You just have to do work and go on a journey. The dream may look like the destination itself, but as Kobe Bryant said during his jersey retirement ceremony, “The long agonizing journey that gets to your destination is actually the dream. Not the destination itself.”
