Texas Reptile Community

My name is Jake Bellinger, and my chosen topic is the reptile community in Texas, since I love reptiles and it does not get near as much recognition as I would like for it to have.

Why the Texas Reptile Community of all other topics?

I have lived in Texas for the last 18 years, and my passion for reptiles goes back before that. I am very knowledgeable about this topic since I keep up with it as much as I can, and I have also been to numerous reptile shows across the state of Texas as well as zoos for the sake of their reptile houses. I am able to tell my audience about the breeders across Texas and all the work they put into making the reptile shows across Texas happen. I am a people person so I would enjoy spreading awareness to other reptile enthusiasts that also live in Texas on what is happening and how they can get involved if interested.

What I hope to explore

I hope to explore volunteer, paid position, and even career opportunities. Throughout my childhood, I felt like I couldn’t find a valuable website that I could go to so I could get myself involved in the reptile community or find out what shows are coming soon to my area. I cannot be the only one that felt that way. I am creating this website for those who are currently feeling the same way I felt. I hope this exploration gets more people than ever involved in the Texas reptile community, and also makes the reptile community as a whole shine brighter than ever before.

My Audience

My audience is the reptile lovers of Texas. Those who want to be involved in the reptile community have found the right person if they found me. I will always keep everyone up to date on what is currently happening, what I am currently doing, and what everyone else is doing around the audience. The site will be made in a fun manner and make people want to keep coming back to the site for more, and grow their passion for reptiles. I can only imagine how much fun I would have if I had someone right there to keep my passion for reptiles rising, so I got to be that guy for other reptile lovers.

Interactive Elements

My website will include quizzes to educate people about reptiles, and also show off their knowledge for them. I will also put out discussion boards so people can communicate with each other and figure what opportunities they have to put themselves out their in Texas reptile community. I am going to have so much fun with this site and I can’t wait for others to enjoy it themselves.
